Direct To Film (DTF) Transfer Guidelines
DTF is a versatile printing process that allows designs to be printed directly onto a film. These transfers can adhere to almost any substrate or material, making them suitable for items of various colors.
Important Pressing Instructions:
- Heat Press Settings: All heat presses behave differently. To achieve optimal results, adjustments may be necessary based on your specific equipment. We strongly recommend the use of a heat gun to verify temperature accuracy.
-
Pressure Settings:
- High Pressure: Manual presses should be set to 8-9; automatic presses should achieve 60 PSI.
Temperature and Time for Different Materials:
- Cold Peel Required
-
Poly Blend:
- Temperature: 275°F
- Duration: 10 seconds
-
Tri Blend:
- Temperature: 275°F
- Duration: 10 seconds
-
50/50 Cotton Blend:
- Temperature: 300°F
- Duration: 12 seconds
-
100% Cotton:
- Temperature: 325°F
- Duration: 15 seconds
Additional Recommendations:
- Double Press: For best results, use parchment paper and perform a double press.
- Heat Gun: Verify temperature with a heat gun and conduct a pressure test before starting the pressing process.
Post-Press Care:
- Curing Time: Do not wash items for at least 48 hours to ensure proper adherence of the transfer.
- Set Time: Allow the shirt/item to completely set.
Disclaimers:
- Responsibility for Errors: We are not responsible for any pressing issues that arise due to inaccurate temperature or pressure settings. This includes the use of non-commercial grade presses or irons.
- Transfer Damage: We are also not liable for damaged transfers after pressing. Please ensure you understand your heat settings, pressure application, and peeling techniques.
- Color Variations: Due to differences in monitors and browser settings, colors may vary. Computer monitors are not calibrated alike, leading to potential discrepancies in color reproduction.
